ABOUT YA GIRL
I’m Sadia: a lil weirdo born in Bangladesh who immigrated to Brooklyn as a kid to reach her full potential.
Unfortunately, my parents didn’t know my full potential included becoming an amateur MMA, Muay Thai, and jiu jitsu fighter who doesn’t know the meaning of “slow down”.
When I’m not fighting people for fun or getting paid to use my imagination, I obsess over video games, sneakers, fashion (high and low, I ain’t judging), global travel, poetry, and soccer. Everything fascinates me. I can find a story pretty much anywhere.
Currently I serve as creative director at SpringHill Company, a culture-first media company founded by LeBron James and Maverick Carter as a home for empowerment. I work with brands like Fortnite, Google, Calm, Nike, and Hennessy to get to the heart of what they want and get culture to embrace it.
In my past life I was senior creative at Bleacher Report, where I created can’t-miss content for an already hyper-engaged audience at one of the world’s top reporting sources on sports and sports culture.
And before that, I was Global Brand Art Director at Vans, traveling the world looking for real humans doing dope shit in action sports, art, music, and fashion.
My brain is happiest when I get to think big ideas and follow through with the nitty gritty. I’m a listener and hands-on doer. I believe authentic stories come first. I believe pushing culture forward means being a part of it. I’m willing to go anywhere for a story.
Don’t be shy, say hi!
